wow-that must be very creepy. well, i heard that you can actually tell ghost that they don't live there anymore and it is not their place. by telling him out loud, he might leave you alone.
just for interest: why don't you find out some information about who lived in your place before you moved in? by finding out the name it might help you better to refer the ghost by name when speaking to him.

pee everywhere in ure house and put red duck tape everywhere..if that doesnt work,have fun making out with the ghost!
