The situation is this, my ex who I was with for 8 years, is a Momma's boy. He calls her every night at 8pm on the dot and he always asks her her opinion on everything that happens in his life. If there is something bad he would twist his story to the point of it being a lie so that he doesn't upset his mother. Eventually he started doing this to me too. When he visits her he sleeps with her (not sexual) and vice versa. When they go to the shops, I have seen them hold hands with each other. His mother controls him emotionally in everyway. She did not like me and so she told him that if he was to marry me then she would not leave any money to him in his will. She is currently going through a divorce and it is most likely that she will end up living with him in the future as my ex is her only child, and she will become even more emotionally dependent on him. He has become engaged to another woman in less than 2 months because his mother approves of her. Can you see this man ever changing?

He's an ex, Why do you care? Focus your energy on something else and go on with your life. That sound weird enough. Just be thankful you got out of it. The next woman will see also. Just because the mother approves of her, doesn't mean she will approve of the mother in the long run. She sounds overbearing and hard to deal with, unless you do what she say do, then you're out on your ear.

I can't see it. I mean if he's been this way for that long of a time, then I really can't see him changing. Many people change because of the things that they experience ON THEIR OWN. But when their parents shield them from everything and never let them develop on their own, then I cannot expect them to change. I must applaud you though and give you your props. You stuck by him through all this for 8 years!!! I can honestly say that you are a very very good person and I hope I can be like you. I also hope that you can find that special someone because you're such a great person. Good Luck :)

I wouldn't see any improbability in the three of the sharing the same bed and intimately. No the child will never change and his new wife is in for a world of hurt

The main question is, why do you care? Life is too short. You broomed him, move on. Your life or happiness doesn't depend on that boy.

Before a man should get married:or Before you shoule marry a man he: if he lives in the same state as his mom, he needs to be at least 26 and have lived on his own for 4 yrs. He will NEVER change. Good thing you aren't with him anymore. Does the new soon to be wife know all this about him? That she will actually come in a distant second to her mother in law? Oh well, at least it isn't your problem anymore.

Pretend to not know him especially if you see him and his mother strolling hand in hand like that. People would surely raise their eyebrowns if they knew they were mother and son.

totally screwed up but hes you ex and he has moved on and so must you. stop grieving over him his mom will always be in control until he puts a stop to it and that may never be until she passes on, so in your best interest you need to let go and move on.
