If a woman, are pants acceptable? What about colors?

I wouldn't wear pants if it's conservative. (Wait & wear them if you get the job.)

I'd wear a dark skirt suit with nice mid-heal pumps. Wear a bright blouse so you don't look too dull...but nothing low cut or too fitted.

Below the knees skirt and a very conservatively cut suit jacket. Dark colors. Panty hose, thigh highs, something to cover your legs. Maybe a bright shirt or scarf to show a little personality but keep it low key. Pants on a woman are informal.
