Avoid them at all costs by not passing by their desks or offices -- eat at your desk or anywhere but where they hang out -- start to take walks during lunch or breaks by yourself. It might be hard to establish new patterns at first but after a while it will seem normal to you and everyone else.
Also, don't get drawn into conversations about other co-workers -- it just becomes a vicious cycle and you can bet you are also being discussed.

I have a few annoying co-workers who make really strange noises which I don't think they realize they are making. (coughing noises, etc.) I just take my ipod to work and turn it all the way up to tune them out. If someone needs my attention, they just tap me on my shoulder...everyone in my office listens to ipods so it isn't strange lol. Good luck!

I say turn the tables on them. Annoy them in an underhanded way so that it's not obvious. Do it so they will never find out it's you. Play little practical jokes on them (not dangerous or mean ones, just funny). Sit back and watch. Make them your entertainment.
After all, them annoying you is about you, not about them. You've chosen to let them get to you. They're just being who they are. Why not make it fun?

Quit your job and start your own business and pick and choose who you want to work with.
Unless you are afraid to take risks, then put up with it.
