no. even in the happiest moments trauma will always effect the persons every thought. i went through some stuff about 10 years ago and despite being very happily married now it still has an effect on the way i react to situations, what i think about sometimes the most innocent thing can bring back the thoughts. while happiness makes it easier to overcome, it will always be there in the background

Trauma becomes part of who you are. If you avoid it rather than face it you will never come to terms with it. If you never come to terms with it, how can you be happy?

i guess we all hope it will. I am not sure i think it depends on the trauma. but conselling and other services can mae it easier to heal and be happy
