nope itunes is a free service or software rather that lets you put your songs from your pc to your ipod, you get your current library onto itunes by finding the folder that your music is in and when you have itunes running to to import library and boom you'll have all your songs on itunes which will let you upload the songs onto your ipod

Just plug in your iPod and the songs will transfer. You NEVER have to pay iTunes to transfer music to an iPod.

itunes is completely free, unless you buy music from them.
