okay listen, i have limewire for two years now and i did not get any viruses. but the thing is i have an apple computer and apple computers can't get viruses but if you don't have an apple computer then you can get viruses from downloading wma/mp3/mp4 files from limewire. yes, limewire is free but there is a version that is not free and it just lets you download faster. when you search for a song in limewire dont do search all files do the adio files same with music videoes just go to video files only. you can also download movies! and games for your computer. when you dowload a file press download and it wil start downloading at the bottom. sometimes it will say need more sources so delete that file from the bottom and select a different one to download. if you search by artist you will get less files so try to search by song. when you download songs it goes right to your library on limewire and also right to your itunes library. all you have to do is go to www.limewire.com and if that won't work just type limewire into the google search box.
hope this helps sorry if it is too long

Limewire is file/program sharing program. in my case, i think its the best file sharer. it takes less space than Kazza, another file sharer, and its absoultley free!
You can by the 20$ version, but the only difference is faster downloads. Go to limewire.com and click download, and be sure to click the free basic version, not the pro kind. Also, scan ure computer with a virus scanner cause sometimes u download viruses, and etc. Limwire is awesome, and it depends on your internet connection speed and what version of java u have. You put songs on ure mp3 player like so...
1. Go to library, the 3rd icon
all ure downloain songs should be there
2. Click explore, in the middle of the page
3. A folder opens up, with all the songs
4. Drag ure songs into ure mp3 player's folder, or press copy on the song u want from the limewire folder and then paste when ure in the mp3's folder
5. If u have itunes, it automatically puts them on the music list when you double click the song from the explore folder
Hope this helps!!!

There are two versions of Limewire a free version and a pay version. I've been using the free version for months without any issues. From limewire library just drag and drop the songs into the itunes library. (so you have both Limewire and Itunes open at the same time) The next time you connect your Ipod to Itunes it will sync it and your new songs will be added to your Ipod.

limewire is free. When you open up the program there will be a search bar. At the top of the search bar there will be things like audio, documents, ect. click on the one that you are looking for and then type in the name of the song ect. when you hit enter it will bring up all the songs that match your search (there are usually quite a few). When you find the one you want you just either double click on it or click the green arrow that points down to download that song when you click this the song will appear in a box below the list of songs to choose from. Once it is completely downloaded you can click and drag it right into iTunes or windows or whatever you have.

Limewire itself is not a virus. Beware of downloading files other than music, that's when you run into the risk of viruses and worms. As far as getting it on your MP3 player, it depends on what type you have. Some you can drag-and-drop right into the player, others require special software (i-tunes, sonic stage, etc.)

limewire is free. u install it right away and after you install it you can download songs. If you have Itunes you can just drag the song from limewire to itunes.

What you do is go to http://www.limewire.com and download the free software. Once the program downloads open it and you can then search for music, photos, and videos. To transfer them to and mp3 player just drag them into the folder that you normally put your music into. And to put them on an iPod just drag them into iTunes or go to file> add to library

it is free i use it myself, its easy, like on any p2p network all you havta do is know where your shared MP3's or the music you downloaded are,
go to itunes then file then import folder and find the folder that says "shared" Usually its here C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Shared and then boom you'll have all your limewire songs

Don't use Limewire. It's a virus. You'll download spyware and trojans.
