No. $49 is the one time cost of the phone. Monthly cost is the cost of the family share plan plus $9 - $10 for each additional phone in the plan. (The first phone is included in the cost of the family plan). Ring tones are a one time cost per phone. Text messaging cost is per phone based on the number of monthly messages and you better pay extra for it ahead of time because it gets expensive fast.

well, usually verizonwireless gives the price of the phone along with the comment......with a two year contract. so, i'm guessing that the 49.00 is for the price of the phone you are buying. you only pay that once. but, the service, we have it, is 69.00 a month with each additional line another 10.00 a phone. at least that's what we have.

$49 plus any fees they decide to add on. You're bill will probably end out being around $60 a month.

Hopefully you haven't signed anything yet.
Wait for deals and get something better. I have that plan and I pay 39 per month. Went to BJs Wholesale to get it.
