I found out with my first, because I was just too excited and impatient not to :)

My mom did with her 4th child, was told it was a girl 4 times, and he is ALL boy! Lol, she felt almost like she lost her little girl for a few days. It was a very odd feeling for her!

So, I can't say I did it to "plan" though, I did anyways. Because, ultrasounds aren't always right!

People are so divided on this matter. I found out with both my kids (boys). I have a friend who had a very difficult time getting pregnant and she wants to be surprised. Some people find out with the second, not with the first. Personally, I do not do well with waiting so long to find out something that exciting.

I have a boy and a girl already. So if i were to get pregnant again I would not want to know the sex of the baby. I already have boy and girl stuff. I would like it to be a surprise. Also if I needed to i can get a baby shower after the baby was born.

I wanted to know because it's really hard to shop for gender neutral clothing at discount stores. It's all either pink or blue, and we couldn't afford to pay full price for things the baby would outgrow in a few weeks.

I had to know. I wanted to paint the baby room for a boy or a girl (a boy in my case), I didn't want neutral colors or unisex clothes.

Both my sister and her sister-in-law did not want to know.

the suprise is fun, but being able to plan ahead is nice too. I feel like knowing i'm having a boy makes it easier to bond while he's still inside, i dont know im not treating him like a little girl....its nice to be able to say he and him instead of it. i dont know im probably just strange

I do agree suprises are good, but if you need to plan for the baby and start buying clothes and preparing the room, then i would prefer to know.

i like to know what sex the baby is so that i can prepare better. i know you can get unisex colors, but Id rather people know for sure if my baby is a girl or boy.

Knowing was more exciting for me than waiting 9 months
