I am not sure I see the point of this question, I would think the answer would be pretty obvious, it is just the same in any household where there is more than one woman living. All the same, here is my answer.
We don't have lots of extra tampons or Kotex, mostly it is extra pads and Always. And we have extra of those for the same reason most women keep extras, because it sucks when you start your period and don't have a tampon or pad available, or not the style you use.
Hell does not break loose, we aren't on the same period schedule, even though we have been living together for 2 1/2 years. We do keep a good supply of chocolate around, but otherwise our PMS tends to run the same course as anyone elses.
Finally our toilet lid stays down because we have cats that bounce off the toilet to get onto the bathroom counter, and wet kitties are unhappy kitties.

where do you come up with such silly questions? did you sit around all day thinking about it? no...all hell doesn't "break loose." and, as there are no men living in our household, of course the lid stays down. and, as I've had a hysterectomy, no, there are no "extra" tampons or kotex. and why the hell am I bothering answering this? I must be really bored tonight...
and, p.s. there's this thing called spell check you might want to look into....

LOL!!!! As ridiculous as this question sounds, fact of the matter is that its funny when you think about it.
When you and your mom are having PMS, is it any different?
LOL! I can't stand my girlfriend during those days, because she gets even weirder than I do. One moment we're all over each other and the next we're raging and sending mean grins across the room... I LOVE IT! hahaha
hmmm... nope, the toilet lid disrespects our rules when the cleaning lady has been over...

wouldn't it be the same if there were multiple women in a house no matter what? Even if they were mother/daughter or sisters?
I live with my mom and sister and there is always a very healthy supply of sanitary products.
