95 Billion of the 124 Billion in the appropraitions bill for the military in Iraq, which was passed today in committee, is NOT going to that effort but is being spent on unrelated spending a.k.a. Pork Projects.... A few examples:
CA - $25 Million to Spinach handlers; 23 Million GA- Peanut warehouse; 293 Million Wisc - Milk -

We, the people, have to stop this flow of 'Pork' unrelated spending in Washington!

I agree with this statement....
"Men and women of good conscience can disagree about the war in Iraq . But on one thing we must all agree—our men and women in uniform must continue to receive our unqualified support and the resources they need to successfully complete their mission. " J. LEWIS

When you read in the paper about your congress person bragging about bringing such and such money home for such and such project. Write them a letter and tell them what you think. It always gets printed in the paper as the liberal media thinks this stuff is great.

I saw that our "Republican Rep" the other day had secured 1.5 million for some roadside museum. This stuff is ridiculous.

I am so sick of these douche-bag legilators throwing unrelated stuff into bills. Why the hell are our tax dollars funding private enterprise such as spinach handlers and peanut wharehouses.

It would be nice if they just took less in taxes and quit the pork parade.

Quite possibly, that extra money goes to other, secret cool stuff that we know nothing about....

Maybe the Stargate is real! (Come on, it'd be pretty cool!)
