they want to know how you are going to accomplish a task....
example:
you want to make your house look better...

priority #1: paint the house
priority #2: mow the lawn
priority #3: get the dead cat out of the lawn

and the timeline part is you putting them in order of which one you will do first...

1st: get the dead cat off the lawn so you dont run over it with the lawn mower...
2nd: mow the lawn so you can get that done before you paint the house so you dont get grass all over the frest paint.
3rd: paint the house.

...and bam your task of cleaning up your house is accomplished!!

Now get to work! lol.

setting things in priority means to put it in order of most important.
From dictionary.com:
highest or higher in importance, rank, privilege, etc.: a priority task.

It means the "most important"or the "most needed"thing to do
