How many times do you think i'll need to fill up going on a 1200 mile trip in a malibu? (12 gal)?

It depends what year your malibu is. OLder carbureted car would have to fill up 9 times.On the newer fuel injected car you would need to fill it up 5 times.

Probably about 6 times. But you know if you were smart do at least two fillups and figure out the gas per miles. Then change to synthetic oil. You will make the money expecially on long trips. The gas mileage will increase about 30%. Then on a long trip the extra money will pay for itself and you only need to change every 6 months with synthetic.
