There were worse singers in the top 24 and they should have been voted off before Sanjaya and they were. His turn will come. If you really support the show, why aren't you complaining that incredibly talented singers are turned away at all the auditions while people who can't sing are put through? Frankly, I hope Sanjaya wins. It's his only shot at a contract because, I agree he's not that good. I hope Melinda, LaKisha and Jordin all lose because they will be signed to contracts no matter what and, if they lose, they will be free to shop around for the best contracts rather than get stuck with the American Idol deal. It worked out well for Chris Daughtry, Clay Aiken, Katherine McPhee and others.

I blame the judges for letting him get as far as the top 24 in the first place. There were much better singers than he. The best singers should be the ones to get the chance to win the competition. If it turns into a popularity contest or a pity party for someone, the show will lose its edge, lose its viewers, and won't last long. I don't feel sorry for Sanjaya. He seems like a nice young man who really has gotten a bigger break than, talent-wise, he deserves. He'll always be known as an Idol finalist and that's more than any of us can brag about.

And you think that it worked out for Clay? What has he done? Nothing!
Sanjaya has got to be THE WORST one there. The only reason why he is still on the show is because the Indian races see him and put their faith in him as one of the only Indian people on national TV. He has a HUGE Indian following, and that's the only reason why he is still on there.

Like Simon keeps saying, this is a singing competition, and the great singers don't always make it through because it turns into a popularity contest instead.
Sinjaya is gay (nothing wrong with that) and he sings like crap. He has terrible style even for a gay guy. The poor guy can't even figure out who he is yet, look how many times he has been restyled on the show already...
Let's hope that all the Indians in America realize that he needs to go to Bollywood and perform there and not in America. His time is done here in America! American Idol would be smart to drop him before their ratings go down the drain cuz he stays on the show week after week. It is hurting the show.
Get rid of Sinjaya!!!! Indians stop voting for him!

Honestly I think that he totally shouldve been kicked off last night. He did horrible on the song. The other guy could fix his problem with forgetting the song. But with Sanjaya, you cant fix bad singing. In my opinion, he smiles too much and he reminds me of Michael Jackson. I that Melinda is gonna win anyways.

He can sing but he lacks confidence and charisma. He should've been kicked-off the show weeks ago. He's boring.
