I was having a conversation with my boss when I overheard the VP on my company saying that he would send me to another office to overlook things.. a moment later he said- "you'll adore her- she's very true. "

I wanted to ask what he meant but I didn't want him to know I was listening in..
what does that mean .. I'm true?

It could mean several things, that you're honest, reliable, loyal and trustworthy...maybe all four!

Besides the obvious honesty that it implies, it also means that you are a "true" company person, an individual that the company (and its officers) can rely on. The believe that they can assign you with most any instruction or task and you will perform with the good of the company as your primary goal. To put it another way, you are not looking to advance yourself for selfish reasons and at the expense of the company.

This is a very high compliment and one that you should always cherish. You have a reputation with your VP that you should strive to maintain.

Look to go places with the company if you play your cards right. Ride the VP's coat tails if at all possible.
