I get so frustrated with shaving, waxing, and tweezing (specifically on underarms) because I want total smoothness constantly. I want to try laser hair removal surgery. Should I see a dermatologist first? Is this worrying abnormal and unhealthy?

You sound obsessed, which isn't healthy. Is there nothing more important to spend your energy on?

Plucking (tweezing), Shaving, Depilatory creams and Waxing are temporary hair removal methods.
Waxing usually lasts for 3 weeks, but it is painful.
Electrolysis and laser hair removal are “permanent” hair removal methods but are expensive and you have to find a trained professional, otherwise your skin could be damaged.

it is normal, im the same way!! Im acutally glad to see your question, it makes me feel not so werid. I would go to a dermatologis first.. that's what i was reccomended to to by my DR.. Good luck with what ever you do, and your normal, don't worry about not being "normal"
