Door jamb kits are available at your do it your self stores for about $40.00. Remove the door from it"s hinges. Remove trim from the jamb. Cut the old jamb out with a sawzall. Install new jamb, plumbing the hinge side, then leveling across the top, and plumb down the latch side. Use plenty of shims. Reinstall the trim, caulk, and paint. Enjoy a beer. Simple as that!

You can't just "kind of fell through a door"! But, I suggest that you buy a bottle of carpenters glue and glue all of the parts you sweep up, back in place. Use duct tape as a clamp by squeezing the glued parts together as tight as you can and taping them that way. After the glue dries, (24 hrs), you can reinstall the metal latch by using longer screws, ones that reach into the studs the frame is attached to.
If that works for you and the door is fixed almost like new, and to prevent it from happenong again, go to Anger Management classes, stop getting drunk and behave yourself.

If you had the kind of door that breaks that easily it was probably a cheap hollow core one. It is easier and probably cheaper to buy a replacement one of the same quality. You can get them prehung so all you have to do is take ouf the old door frame and nail in the new one.

It sounds quite easy to repair. But if you don't have much experience in carpentry, I suggest you call one. It would less than one hour and cost around £20/$40 and that would be cheaper than you replacing the frame. Sometimes it works out a lot cheaper when you hire a tradesman. eg: do you fix your own car? repair your own boiler?

it depends how badly the frame is cracked. u might need to replace the frame itself witha piece of wood no teh broken side, or you can try to patch the break and then redrill hoels for the metal part.

Its probley cheaper to get a new frame and door. They can be really hard to fix if you don't know what you doing. Get some free quotes from tradies and see what they say.

You need to replace the frame . They sell them already to put in. Just level and shim it so it opens and closes properly. About $70.00
