Once again, I tried to ask a woman out in the pizza shop that I frequented. We got to know each other somewhat & I went ahead to ask her out, and this time it's the same thing as always - she has a boyfriend!!! uhhhhh....

But I thought I had this one in the bag. She used to show those signs of attraction, she used to smile in a naughty way every time I looked at her - and this time I thought I had her, but sigh!!

Why do girls do this all the time? Is that the way the dating game works in America? You keep trying and trying and trying and keep failing to get a date that brings you to the verge of frustration and giving up the whole game?

sobs...

Sounds like you might be going for the wrong girls, unfortunate guy number 6000000000. Don't take it the wrong way, and just have fun with it. There are roughly 8 girls to every guy (or something like that), and you've still got plenty of girls to go for.

Here's my "2 cents" -- from an old fart (45). If your mind set is such that you can use terms like "had this one in the bag", "smile in a naughty way" and "I thought I HAD her" ... you may well be expressing an attitude about WOMEN (not girls... if you're over 18, having sex with "girls" is literally illegal) that frankly....TURNS THEM OFF!!! See WOMEN as human beings first and foremost and not PRIZES or sexual conquests, and you might "get somewhere" with them.

Being in a relationship, a women may feel like she has lost her touch out in the world, hence its a massive ego boost when a man shows obvious interest in her. The ability to flirt and have him pay her attention makes her feel desirable and feeds her cnfidence without jepordising her current relationship. In most cases its not about hurting the other person, and many see it as harmless flirting, without considering the other persons intention as being genuine. As much as we argue that men are so complicated, at the risk of letting the cat out of the bag, it is us women who can have you pulling your hair out trying to figure us out.

They don't do it to set you up to turn you down, no. They are learning to flirt and want to know you are attracted to them. Getting rejected or turned down is the crummy side of being a guy. I am so glad I didn't have to go through that!!

become friends with her and let her think you really love her. After a month or so make a move on one of her friends. When she seems shocked act like you still love her!

They always want to know how attractive they are whether or not they are intrested in you. If she knows you find her attractive, the ball is in her court. She's leading you on, dude.
