This world will be a much better place when people realise that external qualities are not what makes us unique. I don't think i'll ever understand the mentality of being able to judgements based solely on other people's differences. There are so many lazy, smart, ignorant, criminal, educated, unemployed etc people who are black, white, yellow.
Martin Luther King = Black = Good
George W Bush = White = Bad :)
No but seriously, when there's so many other issues we should be concentrating on as a common goal for a better world, the world politics use race to side track us so they can push their own agenda with no objections from the ppl

BQ: do no longer very own any BQ2: Yepp BQ3: I purely have been given over one BQ4: It relies upon on what he's into. You are correct in what you say. Many dark skinned people have made a positive change in US society.
Many questions receive distasteful and provocative answers but most diversely different minority people seem to cop the most abusive comments.
My advice would be to ignore those answers and try to just read the positive ones.
You are enitled to answer back.

It's not just black people ... it's everyone and everything. I would say that over 50% of the people that use Yahoo Answers are young teenagers who ask ridiculous questions, or stupid adults who don't have a job.

It may just be the nature of the people answering the question. Sometimes, people don't think about how they're answers could affect other people. This is one of those topics that seems to be graced by a majority of these people.

I think that you just answered your own question; considering that "ignorance" connotes lack of personal experience and therefore, lack of understanding. I wonder if those who hold these misconceptions know many black people.

You choose to be offended by such ignorance. Just as we choose to speak, we choose to feel.

Many probably feel that they must degrade others to build themselves up or make themselves look/feel good about themselves.....I think that can easily be labeled with low self-esteem.
