If for no other reason--to be able to help your kids with their homework. I have a BA in English and an MS in project and systems management, but still had trouble helping my son with some of his homework. Things change constantly, but if you have at least a high school education, you will have a good start on helping your children. Having at least a high school education also helps you get a job. More and more couples find it difficult to survive on one salary. Depending on what your husband does, it might help him if you are educated. Many companies have parties and other events that include the spouses (and sometimes kids) of their employees. Many raises and promotions have been based on a worker's spouse/family when they made good impressions (and visa versa when they didn't).

Because you need an education to succeed in life. It's all about learning new things. So your going to get married and have kids! Well kids grow up and attend school and they'll need help with homework etc. I know it isn't easy but hang in there!

There are enough idiots to go around already. The problem with the world is the lack of educated people. You sould be grateful that you even get to go to a school, and get an education.

Well, if you or your husband are not literate, you can not provide for your kids.
Plus, very few men who have the income to support a stay-at-home-mom will go for someone without at least a high-school diploma.
