I don't make fun of retarded people, but I have used the word to describe situations and sometimes people. The people I make fun of are not retarded, but I call them retarded. The actual retarded people I feel for them. And I know I probably shouldn't use the term "retarded" at all in a deroggatory sense, because I'm gay and people always say things are gay when they are stupid and I don't like it. But I think retarded people deserve our kindness, and we should never make fun of actual retarded people. But sometimes non-retarded people do act stupid, and that's sort of retarded, but we should call it something else besides "retarded".

not even when I was a child, im in college at the moment and there are a few with downs syndrome in my college, and nearly all the boys and even some girls ages between 16 - 21 make fun of them, they copy their noises, act like them and make fun of them to their face, and I think this is out of order, its not their fault and they can be very loving caring people, just because people are different doesnt mean they havent got feelings.

I grew up around mentally retard people mostly all my life since i was little because my parents worked with them, at that time i couldnt really tell a difference except that they were kind of off. Of course i stil make retard jokes to people who act stupid but never to retarded people themselves.

Yes. I was in junior high. I was yound and stupid. If I could go back in time and change it, I would. But in my defense he was a bit of an @ss. But that's no excuse for my actions. I truly regret what I did.

yes i know. to be honest when i was small i used to make fun of fat people. now i understand, and i feel sooooooo bad that i did that! God forgive me! BUt yes there are people here who make fun of other people to be cool. i used to even make fun of nerds though too. Yes, years ago when i was in primary school.
Though i don't anymore, looking back i still find it funny.
They made weird noises and me and my friends imitated them.
We also imitated their ******-up contorted faces and walked like them.
I don't regret it, even today when encountering spastics i find it hard not to laugh.
