Subpoenas have been issued for him and Karl Rove, so the White House will have him resign on the day when they put out all their bad news, Friday (March 16).

No, he shouldn't renounce because of the fact of political tension. He did not something incorrect as each and every AG has fired political appointees and each appointee knows that they serve on the exhilaration of the president.
