Best RPG ever?
I'd probably have to say Final Fantasy VIII.
However, the following are CLOSE runners-up:
- Final Fantasy VII
- Kingdom Hearts
- Kingdom Hearts 2
- Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
- Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess

Star Ocean: Til the end of time, I really liked this game, and maybe it isn't my favorite but it's what comes to mind first. It had one of the best story lines, and though I enjoy the final fantasy series and many other RPG's on consoles, something about this game really kept my intrest through the entire thing and there was a certain part in the story line that blew my mind (im not going to ruin it for anyone that hasnt played yet). I am really hoping they make a sequel to it, and soon.

1. Fable: the lost chapters. I liked the combat in it. Its not a turn-based combat. and if you take your time playing it, it will take some time to finish. I like that you could choose Good/Evil sides by your actions in the game. 9.6/10
2. Star Wars-Knights of the Old Republic 2: Sith Lords. That is a game everybody should play. 9.4/10
3. Star Wars-Jedi Knights: Jedi Academy. There is alought of action in this game and you still can choose to be a Jedi Master or a Sith Lord. 9/10

I know many will disagree with me here but Lunar 2: Eternal Blue (for Playstation Original), is one of the best RPG's I've played. Also liked Grandia 2, Skies of Arcadia, & Shenmue for Dreamcast (also available on PS2). Oh the memories of dreamcast...

I've been a huge EarthBound fan since before the game even came out. If you have the means I recommend picking it up for the good ol' SNES.

Playstation's Star Ocean. Shadow Hearts is also good too theres three of them on Playstation 2.

I've always been partial to Chrono Trigger. Great storyline and innovative gameplay.
