today me (15) and my best friend (15 almost 16)were at claires and she took some stuff and i was holding things and we were both taken down to the security office. we were at a mall far from where we live (i was with her from tuesday-today cuz i spent the ntie at her dads house) so her dad got both of us since he was in charge of both us. the store women who called security said that she is pressing charges and when we were in the security office he got tickets or something and a court hearing b4 4-6-07. he constible(sp) said the the most of the ticket if we get one will be 350. the amount i stole was 8.50(nail ploish and a necklace) and my friend had 5.50 (toe rings). on the report the put our schools name so..
1. will they contact the scool
2. what kinda community service might i get if i get any
3. will this prevent me from getting a job
4. we both feel really bad and dont know what to do...

Will the contact the school - not likely. Community service will be up to the court to decide. It should not prevent you from getting a job as juvenile charges are sealed.
and #4 - you should feel bad! You stole from a business, broke the law, humiliated your parents, degraded yourself, and are causing alot of problems for the people around you.
That being said - now is the time to get your act together and start putting yourself right with the world. You are worth more than being a common theif!
Apologize to your parents and earn back their trust (if you were my kids you wouldn't have gotten near the computer to ask this question!). Study hard and make a commitment to yourself to be on the right path -- you seem intelligent and you seems scared right now (remorseful comes after the shock wears off - if in a month you still see how bad this was then you're on the right path) but I think you have enough common sense now to do the right things.

They will probably not contact your school, no you did not commit a felony so you do not have to list that you committed this crime. Well first off start by apologizing to your parents. This was a dumb mistake, but still just a mistake. Humans tend to make those. You really should be paying more attention in school, your grammar and spelling are terrible. Also you need to get a part-time job to pay off the fines. Don't let your parents pay for your mistake. These are all things that should have been told to you by your parents but it sounds like you have a lack of discipline. I had a rebellious stage myself and ended up doing alot of things I truly regret now. Just remember that the choices you make dictate the lifestyle you live. Pull your head out of your butt and start making better choices. If not you will regret it for the rest of your life.

You should stay home and work on your spelling. You can hire a good Attorney and ask the court to place you on ARD. After you complete community service and stay out of trouble for a period prescribed by the court, the shoplifting charge will be expunged (removed) from your criminal record as if it never happened. Find some nice, good friends to hang with from now on! Good luck!

1. probably not, but your school will probably find out, it's public knowledge.
2.depends on what the judge wants to do.
3. doubtful
4. you should feel bad, stealing is the lazy man's way. if you want something, work for it, otherwise you will never appreciate what you got. and if you want advise in what to do, get your head out of your rear and use it. you knew it was wrong, what makes you think you won't get caught, there are cameras everywhere now...trust me!!! you should apologize to your parents and the store that you stole from. it will make you feel better, it's the mature responsible thing to do, and the judge definitely won't frown about it.

most likely your parent could be asked to come to court. At your age there is no chance that that you will have a record. The school won't be notified. Publuc humidty and a fine awaits you.

We all make mistakes, now just learn from it. You'll get some kind of comm. service. A small fine. No, this shouldn't prevent you from getting a job. Just learn from this and don't do it again.

okay. well its no excuse if you're in a "rebellious" stage. and if i were you i would go to claires and give back everything you took and give them money for it too.
maybe they'll forgive you and drop the charges.
