I guess when I read this I just want to know a few things:

1.) Why are you waiting on a miscarriage?
2.) How does the doctor know it will come some time next week?

Lots of terrible cramping with a miscarriage. You will be huddled over in pain. When the fetus finally passes you will feel a little bit of relief (pain wise) but you will see blood and tissue of sorts. It certainly will be a horrible memory for you but keep your options open for any future babies. Don't let this scare you off if you've always wanted a baby. It's painful, physically and mentally, but the pain does subside over time.

Good luck! Prayers and hugs sent your way!

Sorry to hear about that. I had a miscarriage when I was 7 weeks along. I did not have any cramping but I had heavy bleeding. The pain did start toward the end of it, and it felt just like period pain. I opted to have a D&C done because sometimes not everything gets out of the uterus, and I wanted to make sure everything did so I would not get an infection. It is very hard to go through emotionally, try not to blame yourself for it happening because it was nothing that you did wrong. The miscarriage itself can happen at any time. Some people do not even know when it happens. I would always be double checked by the doctor though to make sure that it is a miscarriage, cause you could still be carrying the baby.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I had my miscarriage with my first pregnancy at 9 weeks. It happened in 1999, all I remember was that, it was very painful. Believe me, you will know when the miscarriage is happening. It started that I was just spotting, I think the next day, I got really scared so I went to the ER and they said I was going to have a miscarriage. The very next day, I had very bad cramps. I felt like I had to go use the bathroom. As soon as I got up, a gush of water and blood just came down. It looked like I peed on myself, but with blood. I went to the bathroom to clean myself, and came back to the bedroom crying. Then I felt like I had to go right back to the bathroom. When I sat down on the toilet, I guess the baby and the placenta came out. It was soooooo sad. It is very painful. Good luck........

Last thing I want to do is give you false hope - but I was told that I was having a miscarriage at the ER and my doctor rechecked when I didnt have one and said the baby was fine. Now I have a healthy happy 15 month old son. Im sure your doctor is better than the ER doctor I had, but I just want to tell you this so you dont go get trashed thinking it doesnt matter.

If you dont miscarry and the baby is still not alive, they will have to scrape you out. - I forgot the name of it, so please forgive me, but they will go in and get the "tissue" out so you dont get infection. They may have to do this if you miscarry also, in case you dont expell everything. Miscarrying would include major cramping, like from a really really bad period and some tissue in the blood - looking more like bloodclots . Anyway good luck and keep us updated!! Thoughts are with you!!!

you will have lots of crapping and some heavy bleeding but depending on your body you may bleed longer than normal period. Also you will have clumps of blood but not like you will see much.
I had a miscarriage at 12 weeks and it was really hard. lots of pain
but try to just relax.

You will have cramping, and heavy bleeding. It will happen when your body is ready to let it go. Sorry to hear about it.
