I had to go through this once, its so annoying because they never understand. Basically just tell them that you want some money to go shopping, then go to the mall and buy stuff when you come back show them what you bought and say that you really like them, i wouldnt start off with the short denim skirt, maybe pair it with some leggings first, then eventually take them off. As for pants you can get really cute pants pretty much everywhere. Tell your mom you want to go shopping with her and pick stuff out, then when you see your grandparents again tell them that you really like a certain thing at a store, offering hints to them that you want it- the next time they think about buying you clothes they might buy what you asked for. Another good idea s to say that tights are uncomfortable and that the skirts are an unflattering length and you dont like the way they fit.

Simply refuse to wear the stuff. Tell your parents and grandparents that those were never ever in style (yuck on the flowery tights!) and you are tired of looking like your clothes came from a second hand shop. You want to wear contemporary styles that suit you, not prudish mismatched old lady clothes. Make it sound as bad as possible and cry! The more desperate you sound, the more likely they are to give in at least a little bit.
Worked with my mother, and she's a very conservative pastor's wife. I got to wear jeans and shorter skirts, as long as I wore leggings underneath, still no mini skirts or tank tops, but definitely better than looking like the preacher's daughter.

Chances are that your religion dictates what you wear, However, just talk to them abouthow out ofplace you feel wearing those clothes and they may change a bit. You may be able to wear denin skirts at least. Of course, once you are old enough toearn your own money, you can go hog wild and buy whatever you want

tell your mother and grandparents how you feel. what one wears shows how they want to express themselves to the world. people cannot force others to dress how they want them too.
just speak up..i am sure they will want to listen to what you have to say, if they love you.
after, go shopping..look at magazines and see what kinds of style you like..window shop, try on many clothes, and pick out a whole new wardrobe!!

just talk about it to them. tell them i am grown now and should get to wear what i want. talk to them softly and make them accept it themselves. give them time to think about it too.
