Bush's legacy will be the Iraq quagmire (WMD's?), the Katrina fiasco, torture, huge deficits, protecting corporate corruption (Halliburton, Exxon, etc.), politicizing the Justice Department and the Supreme Court, and lack of personal integrity (lies). The only thing he hasn't done is have sex with a woman in the White House. Why does the Religious Right still support this fraud?

Because they're under the delusion that Bush is a Christian and he'll be America's savior.

I'm a conservative, fundamentalist Christian and I used to believe that. I don't anymore...my eyes have been opened.

Compare Bush's actions to the Bible, and you too will be scratching your head wondering why people think Bush is a Christian.

When people like you ask questions like this, I can only shake my head in pity for you. You obviously only read the Nancy Pelosi/Harry Reid talking points.

President Bush hasn't lied to anyone, the intelligence consensus was that there were weapons of mass destruction (ask Hillary - if she can manage to tell the truth about what she knew two years ago), President Bush hasn't tortured anyone (nor has he condoned torture), there is a deficit - yes, but getting smaller as the economy (which I noticed you did not mention) continues to flourish. If you are referring to the firing of some politically appointed Justice Department lawyers, then I would suggest that you check out what the Clinton White House did (read it here http://newsbusters.org/node/11399), and what other White Houses did ... political appointees serve at the pleasure of the president - no matter who he is. And appointing people to the Supreme Court is the job of a president. And it is a rare (read that never done) president who does not appoint a judge who agrees with his stand most of the time.

And, I'm not Religious Right ...

It would seem that the Religious Right have no concept of justice or free will. Their congregations are trapped by their beliefs and they have little chance of thinking for themselvess or educating themselve beyond the crippling binds of their church and it's leaders. This is a travesty in a country with personal freedoms.

To believe in a book wrote by ignorant people thousands of years ago, what is one more ignorant person to believe in.

If it was written By God himself is one thing, but throw in corruptible men with pen and paper, now you see Washington.

Largely because they don't agree there is any corruption.

They seem to believe that Bush is doing the best he can, and that he is entitled to break the laws to accomplish those goals.
It's a philosophical position about how the laws should work.

Some people who belong to a specific political party, will support that party--vote straight down the line of that party--no matter what...That is their idea of patriotism. It is not mine, I am an independent voter, and vote for the candidates, bills, and local officials who I feel will honestly keep their word.

He is their hero, deception, lies and murder are all works of satan. They are all just confused. Jesus teaches to stay clear of these types of things. It distracts people from the truth, which is Gods word. Im not to religious, but I believe God is a just God. The Truth will always prevail over evil. Dont let things that deceptive people say, ruin your focus on life. Justice will be done at the time which is fit. All the deception and lies that our government tells are only temporary. And good things will prevail from their evil ways.

All they really care about is sexual perversions/issues. And if one of their own fall...they would be much more kind to him. They sure accepted Haggard's 3 week non-gay conversion. And, Newt has been given complete absolution regarding his affairs from Falwell himself...he will be speaking at his (Liberty) univ. commencement address...topic of the speech, you ask? Rediscovering God In America, give me a break.
All I have to say to the religious right is get your mind out of my pants!!!!
