You know, those of us in the mushy middle used to sit back and watch the polarized fringes scream at each other. It was lots of fun. Now, we're all polarized and at each others throats. You've got to be on the left or the right. You can't just sit in the middle and embrace some parts of each ideology. HEL NO!! That would be thinking for yourself! That's not allowed anymore. Anyone else remember?

You can partially thank GW Bush and his devisive rhetoric for that. I guess I kind of resented being accused of "siding w/ the terrorists", when I disagree with his policies and decision making. I used to be more moderate, but the groupthink and faith-based presidency that he is pushing has pushed me farther left than I ever thought I would be. *sigh* You are right, it is depressing. :o(

Oh cry me a river, centrist. When you sit on the fence, you are tacitly endorsing the status quo because change doesn't happen unless you take a side.

I wish you so-called moderates would try telling a Palestinian that neither side is more right than the other. I'm sure they'd be real impressed with your commitment to moderation when the IDF bulldozes their house down.

I'm still that way and I feel as if I'm outnumbered by all the extreme attitudes. Military in Iraq were talking about how they wanted the moderate people to be in control over there.
Yet, at home, it seems like the special interest groups are taking over.

I don't care what other people want or expect me to do, I still take a look at each issue individually and evaluate them on a case by case basis. Although, it sure was easier to do this when true moderates existed.

I confess to once being a Liberal Democrat, and then, after military service, being a Conservative Republican, but something happened, I woke up, and have repented my ditch hugging sins. Life as a Moderate is actually alot more sane.

Accept my appology, please, vt?
