so im 18 in highschool... the other day me and some friends were jus throwin some snowballs then this newer kid to the school came into it and i turned around and got hit in the gut with one by this guy..ok no problem its a snowball fight... then i throw one and it hits him in the side of the head.. i get on the bus after school and a buddy tells me he wants to fight me cuz of that lol. i jus laughed and said thats pathetic, then said somethin like if he wants to scrap me for that then so be it but it is pathetic... so then today after school he comes up to me and says i hear your talkin s***. i was like nah man then he shoved me and i stepped back in hois face ( i didnt fall or nothin jus took a step back) by this time there was a bunch of people watchin... the thing is i have a lot goin for me im gettin back on track with my life...excellent job and everything. so he shoves me again and i step back into his face and im tellin i cant fight him too much goin for me

so yeah he shoved me a couple times and i didnt back down but i didnt fight him.... he isnt 18 so if i would have at least thrown the first shot id get charged.. now i dont know wut to expect... i did hear a few chix sayin somethin like look at this guy standin his ground like that that other guy is the bi***... so i dont know i got a big rep in ma school and i just dont know if that will get me more respect or wut.

Hey some people are smart enough to realize that some things are more important then proving that you are a bad a-- you know who you are and what will you have to gain if you fight this guy?/ this guy seems to have self doubt issues like he needs to fight you because he said he would and he doesn't want to seem like a wuss... find him alone and try to talk to him about just letting it go afterall it was just a snowball fight nothing serious so you guys need to just get over it... You are doing the right thing by not fighting him nothing good will come from it for you...

YOu did the right thing
he was trying to punk you and was hoping thatyou would choose to fight him so that he could take you off course.
You would be amazed at how jealous some people can be.
you did the right thing and you got the respect from alot of people by doing what you did.
at your age, you could have been charged with assault if you were to have hurt him like you wanted to do.
Violence is a tool of the ignorant
they use it to bring the intelligent on par with them.
Kudos to you for walking away
ignore him for the rest of your time at that school
he wont miss the opportunity to try to start stuff withyou again
so be on the lookout
He as you already know is not worth it.
you should get alot of satisfaction in thinking about where he is going to be in ten years (jail)
and where you will be.

No, it was very smart. In the end, the ones who didn't fight make out better than those who did. In most schools, if you are caught fighting, you are both suspended, no matter who began it, and then that is on your record forever. You are getting your life on track, and not fighting is probably the best thing you could have done right now. Good for you for being the mature one. Also, now people know the difference between you and this guy, he is now known as the guy who likes to start fights, and you are seen as the better man...

What you said in the end was smart. The stupid part was not aplogizing to him. You don't know how he felt when he got pelted by the snowballs. How does he know that it wasn't meant for him. You shouldn't have said it was pathetic either. I believe he has a right to take a stand against you since he is new. Why not go talk to him and you might be surprised that you may form a new friendship with him. Good luck.

The rule of thumb is you can fight only when you have nothing to lose. You seem like you have a lot to lose in this situation either way.
a.) Your current life circumstances.
b.) Your rep.
Despite what everybody above me has said, you and only you can decide what is important to you. There aren't any wrong answers, just what you make of it.

u dont wnt to get in trouble for hitting him exspecially if he is younger than u. dont let others tell u that u should have fought the guy cause i think its a lot hotter to be the better guy then to fight someone over a stupid snow ball fight

don't fall for it. at 18 yrs, you can be tried as an adult if you do anything stupid. talk to the counselor at school. what started out as a game has become harrassment. be careful.
