Oh, FFS! Dems whine if we bring up Clintoon - "that's in the past!" But the Crusades...yeah, Sugar - those were just yesterday.
Incredible. Absolutely incredible.
I blame public education, personally....we don't teach our kids to think for themselves anymore.

I speak out against injustice and violations of human rights when I can, and frankly I don't care WHERE that injustice occurs, I call it as I see it.
I know that may not sound like a lot, if you have any other suggestions for me I have an open mind to hear them. Really, I do. I can't speak for others.
I'm not sure what else you are asking or what other point you are trying to make. Being Conservative, Moderate, Atheist, black, white, blue, purple doesn't give anyone a free pass either. Why doesn't our Government care to find and punish those responsible for 9-11? Bush has even publically stated he doesn't think about Osama Bin Laden that much!!!!!!!
What ARE American interests? That depends on who you ask. Probably by the time I finish typing all this, 5 people will tell you it's "oil". For me they are our VALUES which include freedom from torture, right to be presumed innocent before guilty, freedom of speech and right not to be held indefinitely without charge. In MY book, you don't claim to uphold these, then deny them to everyone else because you are fighting for them!!!!!!!
In any case, you have not stated what our interests ARE, so it is hard to answer that part of your question.
We could just nuke all of Iran and Iraq, that would solve the "radical Islamic problem", but that would just get a lot of innocent people killed. It's more complicated than that. We have to find who is responsible for 9-11, implement all recommendations of the 9-11 Commission, step up our security in Airports and Ports, train Iraq how to defend itself, and overhaul an immigration "process" that lets terrorists IN while keeping people who work hard for a better life OUT, and work WITH our allies, not AGAINST them.
Last I heard, Bush was doing none of this.
Nobody I am aware of that you would label a "liberal" wants to "appease" these people. We just want the REAL terrorists found and tried, not a "bait and switch" game to be pulled because we let Osama Bin Laden go.

you should really examine more advantageous. turn off FOX and Rush and open a e book. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan both will pay for terrorist, it extremely is actuality. 17 of the nineteen hi jakers were Saudi. Bin weighted down is Saudi. Bush says Bin weighted down isn't a concern. Bin weighted down has admitted he planed Sept. eleventh. and Bin weighted down is in Afghanistan no longer Iraq. you fairly opt to get a clue on the information. your own Hero Bush has suggested "he needs more advantageous illegals no longer a lot less". your own Hero Bush has also suggested "this isn't a conflict on Islam". everybody being Liberal can no longer change what your hero has suggested. the placement is that your hero is mind useless. No Terrorist in the international ought to face our Marines in a wrestle, none. they are all cowards, they do the dirty artwork behind our backs, a twin of in Nam, no different. Guerrilla war won't be able to be gained, we discovered that in Nam. The Soviets also discovered that in Afghanistan, and they lost what number? The NSA is recording this answer. BTW, the media is Conservative owned and controled with assistance from Neocons no longer Liberals as you declare.

Well, let's see. We were attacked under Bush's regime. So he obviously didn't do enough. I don't hear you complaining about that. I believe it's much easier to defend against the threat of jihad then to lie, doctor evidence and send troops over to "fight Jihad". This isn't a war on terror. This is a war for oil. Let's get it straight. I would die for my country if I was threatened, but I wouldn't die to make the rich richer. If we were so concerned about terror we would be upping the troop numbers in Afghanistan and other countries that harbor terrorist. But no, we go to the oil and say we're there defending our "Freedom".

I bet you don't get a serious answer to this question.
Apparently, the far left believe that if we ignore this concern, it will just go away - you remember, adopt the same policies of inaction that culminated in the events of 9/11.
I have no idea what the Islamic radicals have to do to get some people's priorities in order. None.
Almost three thousand innocent people murdered on our soil in one day, and I just saw a question posted that referred to the terrorists as "over exaggerated boogeymen." Go figure.

Trying to elect leaders who understand that a large military assault isn't feasible against a widespread ill defined enemy, I think there's a helluva lot smarter way to fight this thing but the current administration is a bunch of clueless wonders, the money we've spent in Iraq could have increased our intelligence gathering ability 4 fold, more training for elite special forces for surgical strikes against identified targets, hearts and minds campaigns including but not limited to medical aid, infrastructure construction aid, educational aid, humanitarian aid, if everything you touch that benefits you is stamped U.S.A. eventually you're going to change your perception, support for human rights including sanctioning countries that have poor human rights records like Saudi Arabia, our supposed friend, Pakistan, again a "Supposed"ally, but that's just one "liberals" idea's
of course this is just a the basic concept, there are many other things in line with this that would reduce terrorism, the biggest way isn't killing them, they're like rochs and we're actually helping them recruit with our current actions, they would be able to recruit far far fewer members if we did this smarter

Hermann Goering, second in command of the Third Reichand key founder of the Nazi party said; "Voice or no voic, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism, and exposing the country to greater danger".
Does this look familiar?
"Those who would give up essentil liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety" --Benjamin Franklin
