What exactly is the conflict in Darfur all about?

Does anyone have any history or fairly comprehensive knowledge of the situation and what its implications are?

It is ethnic.

Limited resources, a lot of people, many colonial influences.

A mess.

well, about 2 or 3 years ago another tribe from a different part of darfur came and attacked that part. now, they are starving, dying, and dirty. it is the most tragic thing the world has ever known. parts of Africa fight w/ eachother. i dont know why, its just stupid.
