and as a little side note from me... do you think Twain is trying to make some sort of point by describing adults the way he does??

Twain makes adults seem untrustworthy and rather stupid, though there are exceptions. He's protesting against society and what society thinks is good. For example, the poems the dead daughter of the Grangerfords (I think) were mocking another poet in reality.

twain is showing the hipocarcy of society by making all adults working against, or really just not on the side of, Huck.
