I was 14...it was only after school.
"Warmer" operator at Pepsi Cola canning plant ....
for insurance reasons, was only allowed on that machine..
Went full time later as "Filler" operator.
That was in Casa Grande, Az. (moved to Tucson)
EDIT:
I baby-sat here and there from age 13.
Once I started working, I had to help pay my share
of the utilities and rent my bedroom. (no kidding)
(my step-dad's rule)
EDIT:
Chores were how we "earned our keep."
I financed a new truck with the bank at 18.
Paid for rides before that.

My first job was when I was ten years old. I was working at a local sporting club. I set they clay pidgeons on the machine that flung the thing out into the sky so that grown men with shotguns shot it out of the air. Needless to say since I was ten, they were breaking some child labor laws and promptly got rid of me. I had that job for less than a year and it was for throwing around money. $4.25/hr
My first legal job was when I was fifteen. I worked in a food booth at the Rennaissance Faire during the summers. I started as a lowly dishwasher at $6.00/hr. I mainly got that job to meet girls. After eleven years there, I now manage the very same food booth. Gotten some nice pay raises over the years. I'm still trying to meet some girls that want to have anything to do with me.

I was 12 years old babysitting. I liked my job alot and did it for fun. I would have done it for nothing. I got another job at 13 years old with a paper route but later quit.

I'm 17 and never had a "real" job. I've babysat on occassion for a little cash. But, not an actual job. I'm spoiled by my parents, so I don't need a job. lol.

I did odd jobs when i was 11 ... It was because my parents wanted me to learn what it meant to earn the things that i wanted instead of just getting what I wanted without any effort.
