My girlfriend finished with me 2 weeks ago. Then the other day, she sent me a message to ask if I'd like to go for a drink with her, only as friends, where we could just chat etc. I after thinking long and hard agreed. The problem was that the drink was terrible, she just started having a go at me,basically saying why she finished with me, and that she's seeing a new guy now, who's much 'better'...i just got quite upset...and i admitted rather stupidly that i had strong feeling for her, and that i loved her....she replied...that i didn't mean it...and then i just walked out...about 2 hours after, i got a message saying that she was sorry for all the hurtful stuff she said. i didn't reply. then yesterday, i get another message saying that she wanted to be friends with me, if i wanted to, and she says she thinks it can work.....i haven't replied yet...what should i do...feel like not replying! then today, even tho didnt reply, get other txt 'u could have at least replied'... i havent!!!

She is confused and doesn't know what she wants, and you should not let her exploit your feelings by playing silly games to get a reaction out of you. I would say that you should not waste your time by replying because she hasn't figured out what she wants, she's not ready to let go of you but she wants to continue to explore her options with this new guy. If you remain friends with her, you will not be able to get over her and she will continue to hurt you with news about her new relationship, and other details. She is doing what she thinks is best for her, you need to do what's best for you...and that is to move on.

My first reaction....run away, run away.
Ok, it sounds like a few things...she's playing games with you to see how much bullshit you can take, she just wants attention from you....she has mental issues....she's cold hearted and vindictive, a manipulator, she wants to see how far you will go to get her. In which case, why put yourself through that? Nobody needs to go through that many hoops just to be with someone. Being with someone should be mutual, not.. jump doggie jump & MAYBE I'll let you be near me long enough to be nasty to you, only to turn around & say I didn't mean it, so I can do it to you again later.
Move on dude!!!! Don't bother replying, that's exactly what she wants you to do..another part of her game & manipulating you. Change your # if you have to, just DON'T reply or see her again. I can't stand seeing girls do this to guys...they give the rest of us a bad name.

For whatever reason, blameworthy or not, she has messed you around at the expense of your strong feelings for her. Is this the sort of inconsiderate, erratic personality that lends itself toward a rewarding partnership? Vindicative one minute, and consoling the next?

As impossible as it may be in your current state to imagine a time when you no longer love her, your mind will change eventually. You should let sense prevail and move on. The process will be easier if you see less of her and avoid her daft games.

She probably doesn't have another boyfriend yet. She's just using that to make you jealous. She wants for it to work out. She wants your attention. She obviously has been thinking long and hard about this because she has sent you these text-messages out of the blue. It's a hard decision.

She is just wanting attention from you and trying to make you jealous with that other guy (I doubt there is one) Basically, she is testing you to see what you will do to prove you love her. This is a game that young girls (21 or less) usually play because they are insecure. Try this...Ignore her more and she'll come after you more

Reply- Even though you were hurt, show her how strong of a man you are. When she sees that, she will be surprised to notice you are a man who can endure. I can't promise you that you both will be together but no matter what, you will show her you are not playing any games. Tell her your heart.
