Normally I would suggest against trading away a good closer because they are hard to pick up later on. But, in this case, Lidge is so much on the rocks in Houston that you would've probably had to have dropped him later on anyway.

Eh. Decent trade I guess. Street and Cordero are solid closers, but I wouldn't put much faith in Isringhausen this season.
Both Burnett and Lidge are being drafted in the mid-130's.
If you were light on SPs, this is a decent trade. Personally, I would have seen what I could have got for Izzy before dumping Lidge.

Lidge did have an off year last season, but his potential is still high. Burnett has an increased positive in the acquiring of Frank Thomas to help the Blue Jays run support potential. I think it's a good deal since you've already got a good amount of reliever help. If i were you though, i'd look for STL Cards Wainwright, kid has a huge upside.. could be this year's Liriano/Papelbon. Same with Cla Meredith of SD.

That wasn't really worth it, you should have just found a team desperately in need of relievers and you could have got a better pitcher. Burnett gets injured so much, that's why I say it wasn't that good. Then again Lidge is pretty inconsistent.

Both are very risky to have but, Lidge is the better out of the two. I think you could have gotten more for Lidge. Hey we learn from our mistakes.

i like the trade because if you already have to good closers and u can trade an extra one for the second best pitcher on the blue jays than thats a great trade

i might commerce AJ Burnett for a expert baker in view that all he's stable for is shoving pies in people's faces. a minimum of this way the pies might flavor stable, forget approximately that beginner stuff Burnett does with whip cream and a towel.
