It depends on the doctor, and on the protocols for the OR in your particular hospital.
The concern is that they can't have people contaminating the sterile field. This means that only people in sterile gowns can come close to the area where they are operating, her abdomen.
If you already know you are having a c-section, discuss it with the doctor in advance, AND with the nurse who is prepping you for surgery.

That depends on the policies of the facility where you are having the C- section and the doctor/staff involved. My sister's husband cut the cord on both of his daughter's and they were C-sections

Talk to your dr about that one, I had a c-section and my husband was not able to cut the cord cuz we didn't ask.So ask!

Absolutely! My husband was in the operating room with me the entire time. Talk to your doctor before hand so he knows that this is what you want. Good luck!
