Theres this really cute messenger bag I want to buy online and I was wondering is a messenger bag smaller than a tote bag because I wanted to use it for school???

Messenger bags come in many sizes. I suggest you read all the specifications of the bag on the website, they might have its measurements.

First, it depends on what kind of messenger bag but usually it should be bigger than a tote. A messenger bag is made to use for work/school. A tote is not actually made for use in that way so most messenger bags are bigger so you can put your books in there. But it actually depends on hte size of the tote. Thye come in different sizes. For me, a tote is a little more "cuter." so if i had to pick either to use a messenger bag or a tote for school, i would definetly pick a tote.

There are different sizes of messenger bags and also different sizes of tote bags. Some tote bags are larger than messengers -- the difference is the messenger bags tend to drape across your body and hang lower (towards your hip), while tote bags are more of the shape of an oversized purse.

It depends - tote bags are generally large bags that will be big enough to fit books and folders in - check out the sizes of the bags before you buy.

All the bags depend. Dooney and Burke and COACH make smaller tote bags, while Juicy makes HUGE ones - you could fit your life in there. But Messenger bags seem to be made for on the go people, even my bf has one for school. Also they go across the shoulder so it's easier to carry.

it depends on what size messenger bag you get.... Old Navy messenger bags are really big. But Hollister tote bags are also big. I know friends who have both. a tote bag is more stylish but a messenger bag has more pockets.

messenger bags r bigger that totes but they get annoying after a week! id use a tote instead cuz that gets u to keep less junk in ur backpack that u dont need! i fit all of the stuff (that wasnt junk) from my old HUGE backpack into my new cute, small, lightweight tote! get a tote trust me!
