According to the 10% idea, there would be around 30,000,000 homosexual,bisexual, and lesbian americans; according to the world fact book there are almost 300 million americans.

Yep, that's a good 10% of the population all right. Probably a lot more, since the 10% figure was estimated at a time when homosexuality was regarded as a mental disease and cops were allowed to raid gay bars and beat up anyone just for being gay and people weren't exactly motivated to admit to being gay. That's a sizable voting bloc, isn't it? You'd think we'd have more clout. That's probably more than the number of Fundamentalists who are trying to save us from going to Hell. If it was such a big issue with God, you'd think he'd have made more of them and fewer of us.

i have heard that 1 in 10 AMERICANS are in fact gay thats only in the usa think of all the other countries omg! we could take over the world still want to be mean to us?

Nobody knows the exact numbers but about 10 percent of the population is probably close to the actual number.

I'd say it was an understatement. the "10%" of the population represents those of us that are out....if we were ALL out, I'm sure that number would sky rocket. Thanks to the never-ending existence of bigots, and a president who'd made it "cool" to be a homophobe, I'm sure it will be a little longer before more come out.....
