I would have to say Cristiano Ronaldo...

Ronaldinho is great, but I do believe he is beginning to falter... give Ronaldinho a couple of years, and no one will mention his name.. C. Ronaldo, on the other hand will be heading into the peak time of his career.. People, do not forget that Ronaldo is only 22...

He has accomplished much in a very short period of time.. (not to mention being robbed of the young player award at the world cup).. this young man can do it all.

First of all, some people are saying Ronaldinho has more "tricks" which has nothing to do about how good of a player you are. Tricks aren't everything. In the matter of ball control, I would have to pick Cristiano because he has a faster pace with the ball and just as good of skills with the ball at his feet as Ronaldinho. He is also a great passer, contrary to some of your beliefs, if it wasn't for him Man U wouldn't be having the year that they are. He sets up many goals, and has proven he can score just as many. He is the spark plug that makes that team go. The whole issue about diving. Ronaldinho is just as bad of a diver, but if you can get the calls why not do it? Whatever helps the team win, right? So from all of this and more I would have to say that in their current forms, Cristiano is better then Ronaldinho. Ronaldinho has had a much better career, yes, but he is on the decline. Everyone will soon realize how good Ronaldo really is.

Ronaldinho, of course. You have to make the difference between just a good player and a genius player. Manchester Utd has a better goalkeeper, better defense, better coach, more experienced players etc, plus Ronaldo's in his very best form. Ronaldinho, on the other hand, has kept his team at the top of the strongest league in the saeson plagued by injuries even though he hasn't been in best form. Not to mention he's been the brain and the leader of the best team in Europe in the past 3 years. Ronaldo has had one good season, but so did many players. I pitty all you people who say Ronaldinho is faultering. He's 26, he's just entering his peak. Ronaldo is way too young for now. He's not in Ronaldinho's class, not yet and I doubt he'll be but I could be wrong. He has a lot to prove for someone to be able to compare them seriously. I'm not saying he won't do that but we'll have to wait and see. For now, this type of question is silly. No offence.

Rosey, you should be ashamed of yourself for saying no one will remember Ronaldinho in a couple of years. He's an icon now, and he'll be a true legend once he retires and people will remember him for a long, long time.

In my opinion a lot of brazilian footballers are overrated and ronaldinho is one of them. Yes he's great but he's not good enough quality to be the best in the world, Cristiano has a lot going for him such as his age, his quickness, his sudden burst of speed and things of the sort. Ronaldo still has room to improve and will without a doubt be one of the greatest the world has seen, meanwhile ronaldinho is at his peek and isn't as great under pressure. Ronaldo is also a much better team player and he helps out his team a lot more. Ronaldinho may have the edge for now but not for much longer. Ronaldo will be unstopable by the start of the 07,08 season. Also he's portuguese and so am i..

Forca portugal todos os outros paises eastao doidos!!!!

Career wise right now it is Ronaldinho. He has more awards and a World Cup also. But Ronaldo is on a path in becoming one of the best ever. Don't forget Pele said dinho is the greatest player ever. That is pretty big of him to say. So dinho to me is the best right now with the awards and the stats.

Ronaldinho. Even if brazilians are over rated there's no way ronaldo will ever be as good as him. Ronaldinho doesn't whine as much either.

It really depends what you're looking for... C. Ronaldo is more of a winger who can beat defenders on the dribble, and get a decent cross in... he can also shoot and stuff.

Ronaldinho is just amazing in midfield, and can shoot and pass and everything. I'd say Ronaldinho just cuz he's brilliant though.
