that's just the way men are. they aren't incapable of showing their feelings....they just don't know how to, and they are afraid that if they do get emotional, their friends will tease them and tell him he's a sissy. a man's biggest fear is being humiliated and taken from his masculinity.

Because from the moment they were born they have these thoughts that a man can not cry or show any emotional feelings and if they do they are a pansy, fruit, well the list goes on. I think you need to make sure that the person that you are trying to connect with feels secure with you and knows that he will not be judged in a harsh manner,

This is not always true-
I will cry just as hard (well almost) as the females do in the movies and am very emotional.
Some men prefer to hide the emotional side and let "macho-ism," pave their way to what emotions they will show.
Crying is just important as laughing-Hiding emotions usaully end up showing in a negative way eventually.
God created us with a miriad of emotions and Christ used them all-He wants us to do the same. :-).

most men are left brain dominant, which is less concerned with emotions, and more concerned with logic and detail. women are mostly right brained dominant, meaning they are more sensitive to feelings, people and emotions. and a man is taught at a very early age not to show emotions, as women are taught its okay to show emotions.

Because society has made it wrong for men to be emotional. It can also have something to do with their childhood, but mostly it's society.

because of the stupid culture we live in!... we taught our sons that men don't cry or express their feelings, only when they're angry... but if you look in other cultures like in the carib and other places you will notice that it's normal for men to cry or express their other feelings..
