Women could vote in Iraq under the Baathist regime. In fact, the only good thing Saddam Hussein did when taking power was to amend Iraq's constitution to give women full equal rights.
Perhaps you're thinking of Afghanistan, where women did not previously have the right to vote (or even to go to school under the Taliban).

After the outing of Saddam's Regime. the Iraqi people in general were allowed to vote for the first time in the history of that country. Afghanistan also. This is an even bigger accomplishment.

Besides, you FORGET that Saddam Hussein, as bad as he was, ran a secular government, no Islamic law, and had women not only voting but in major political positions.
Accomplishment??? Women now fear rape, Islamic nutcases running the streets attacking them if they don't wear burqa shrouds, and other craziness that they hadn't had to contend with for YEARS.

I think voting is the least of the Iraqi's citizens problems now.They are more interested in just surviving.

There is no proper government in Iraq. Who the heck are they supposed to vote for?? .... and assuming they don't get killed on the way to the polling station.
