im in the 7th grade and i have a 1500 word writing word project. i have to write a fantsy/folklore short story novel some one give me some ideas to prepare

well 1st of all - that is a madd long paper. 2nd - take a day or 2 to brain storm on something that you feel the most strong about(make sure you can write a lot on it) 3rd - if you can think of something that can lead to another topic, even better!

p.s. USE MANY MANY DESCRIPTIVE DETAILS, EXPLAIN EVERYTHING THAT IS AROUND THE MAIN CHARACTER(ex. floor, sky/celing, people, buildings/walls, etc.) this should add A LOT(!) of words to your story

I always think that it is hard to come up with original ideas, and it is even harder to come up with ones for someone else when I don't know what interests you. Historically, our folklore heroes have been "bigger than life" legends like Johnny Appleseed, John Henry, Paul Bunyan, etc. Think about some current historic figures who seem bigger than life, e.g. the police officers and fire fighters who risked their lives on 9/11. Check with your teacher to see if you could write about something like that. You could make up a fictional police officer or fire fighter and write about what he or she did that day and what has happened to him or her since. You could also look through newspapers for accounts on the Gulf War. There are often stories about someone who did something extraordinary that resulted in saved lives. You could also think about heroes like Rosa Parks or abolitionist, Sojourner Truth or some of our astronauts, especially the early ones.

We'll all that comes to mind for me is like harry potter, stargate sg-1, any monster or faraway places. How about a guy that goes to outer space and ends up finding another world however, the world was nothing but the future itself of earth. Now let your mind think of the terrain,(the eatrh like grass, trees, etc) and the air, (was it clean or dirty or no air at all?) and the people, (we're they in all these technological (computer like) gadgets? or were they underground, was there a nuclear attack?
Just let your mind get going....

Write a fantasy story about a seventh grader who falls asleep trying to think of what to write for his project. Relate a fantasic dream he has and when he awakens he sees him dream is on the computer .Someone has written it for him and all he has to do is click on PRINT and the story comes out of the printer.

Think of the strangest thing that has ever happened to you. Then attribute it to the work of faries or angels or gremlins or leprechauns etc. Then think of why and how they would/could do such a thing to you.
Work from there!
