Well, it's called To Kill a Mockingbird. That's something about it. But seriously, go read it. It's the only book from school that I actually enjoyed reading, and the rest of my class agreed.
If you're really just that big a slacker, go use sparknotes.com, since apparently, we all appear to like the book and don't want to spoil it for you. ♥

I hated the book when I read it. It deals intensely with racism and the bigotness of the south near the turn of the century.
The girl's name is scout. I'd agree with the person who said just rent the movie. I love to read, but this book I really didn't like. I was in 5th grade and it was required reading.

It's a really good book. I'm in the process of reading it right now in my honors English class. It gives a big taste of all the racial bigotry that took place in the south. I highly recommend reading it.

It's a great book and worth reading. The film with Gregory Peck is reasonably true to the book but the book itself is a must. If you don't want to read it, that's your problem, you are the loser, no-one else.

you should watch the movie and then try reading the book. thats wat I did. after seeing the movie, it was a lot easier to read the book cause i knew what was going on...but if you REALLY don't want to read it, then just watch the movie and read sparknotes and cliff notes.
