I have a lesbian stage 5 clinger, and we've only hung out twice. She calls me every day and texts... and I DON'T ENCOURAGE IT AT ALL!!! Man... I made the mistake a couple days ago of answering the phone before checking the caller ID... nooooo.....
I've told her numerous times that I'm not wanting a relationship. JUST FRIENDS.
I think I'm just going to tell her, "I really need more space than I feel you're giving me." And then I'll of course have to painfully explain it... and she'll 'not understand'...
Sigh. I think you have to be violently frank with these people.

Fortunately I managed to get out before the major clinginess began, but I could clearly see it was headed for Stage 5.
