Ignore them. Yankee haters try to create problems about the Yankee players that don't even exist. Arod will be fine and so will the Yankees.

The amazing numbers he puts up are good enough...for those who know anything about baseball (although he committed way too many errors last year, it must also be noted he's not a natural 3B, he switched when he came to the Yankees so Jeter could remain at SS).
He will always be criticized for making so much money. He'll also be criticized about never winning a World Series (until he actually does).
He might opt out of his contract even at 25 mil because he could then choose the city and team he wanted to play for and still make huge money. After racking up about $150 mil just in salary over the past six years, it's hard to see money being THE motivating factor for A-Rod anymore. I could see him looking at a place where the team is a contender and the pressure on him would be less (ie. not Boston or New York).

WOW! halt at the 1st sentence. Lets get this straight he is being paid 25 million a year he wil never ever EVER opt out of that. He will not be paid that much if hes a free agent. I agree w/ u, ppl must leave him alone or hell struggle. He sucks when he is critized. I just think u are saying this and defendin cuz u like him. but thats my 2 cents

He doesn't suck, thats for sure. You can't judge his entire career on a few bad postseasons, especially when that career is far from over. As far as opting out of his contract, I could definitely see him doing that. That doesn't mean he won't get resigned by the Yankees. He'll get a deal worth just as much or more money per year (it won't be another long 10 year contract again) and he'll get a huge signing bonus. He can't lose by opting out of his contract. And if he shows up in the postseason this year and plays to his capabilities, I could see Steinbrenner certainly giving him $25 mil per year if he opts out of his contract. He'll just sign a new one.

Look honey just because you think he's cute doesn't mean that he doesn't suck and that the Yanks shouldn't trade him. If he is going to opt out of his contract the Yanks should use him as trade bait to get younger players and draft picks. I can't believe that he went on radio and begged the fans to like him. He is too worried about everyone liking him and not worried enough about playing the game. If he concentrated more on that maybe everyone would actually like the loser.

Yes he is a great regular season hitter but when it comes down to post season he never shows. I've been a yankee fan since i was 7 and i know how yankee fans work we don't win we suck like A-Rod he seems to hit .320 110+ rbi's 35+ hr's yr in yr out but if he can't perform in the playoffs in the fans of the yankees he sucks.

He is absolutely ridiculously aweful in high pressure situations. I would rather have a .220 slap hitting utility infielder at bat in the clutch than A-Fraud.
Sox fans know it and attack at will. Yanks fans know it, can't defend him (stats are stats), and want him gone.
Don't believe me? He's hitting 5-41 (.098 Batting Average) with ZERO RBI in his last 12 postseason games.
When it's all hanging on the line, A-Fraud is all wet.

the money got to his head. everyone thinks that he had a bad season last year. but to tell you the truth no bad season gives you the most errors than any 3rd baseman in the entire league. hes not a hall of fame guy. hes an overrated, sucky, disgrace to baseball.
