How annoying do you find it when you both sit down to watch tv or news and your mate has to constantly talk thru everything and comment or debate with him/herself every aspect of what they are watching?
Does it make you just want to beat them with the couch coushin?
I am just wondering if I am alone in this?

You're not alone...mine does the same...what I do is I yank the remote out of his hand and change it to something else...until he shuts up.

I've never had it that bad but I've had something kind of similar. I had a boyfriend that would make me watch movies he already saw but I was seeing for the first time. The entire time we'd watch the movie, he'd keep looking at me to watch my reaction to everything. We'd be sitting there and I could see him out of the corner of my eye, staring at me and smiling. He'd always say things like, 'Shhhh, wait, watch this part!' even though I wasn't talking and I was already watching. I hated it.

My wife wants to carry on discussions about other things besides the movie we are watching, especially if she has seen it and I have not.

No, but my dad does and it makes me want to punch him repeatedly until he stops. It's really bad when he is watching sports.

my spouse doesn't do that, but it is annoying when i am around people who do do that...it's like, 'i would like to hear what they are saying please'...
