I'm not asking if I should tell him to unblock me. I'm just wondering if I should because we talk in school and stuff, but he has me blocked. I'm unsure.

Do you think that the knowledge that you are ALSO gay would cause him to unblock your efforts to access his inner circle? Is that where you want to go with this? It might.
Gays, perhaps more than others, tend to protect themselves from the prying eyes of outsiders (non-gays) especially when it comes to their love lives or sexual interests. And, as you know, the internet and especially im services are used extensively to promote those. A person may be blocked because the reciever only wants to use his im for that purpose. I would say tell him you are gay. Why not? You have nothing to lose.... certainly not his respect. Azn2men

Don't even mention that you are blocked. Approaching someone that way will put them on the defensive. Next time you chat in class, ask him if he has AIM. If he says yes, give him your screen name and tell him you would love to be able to chat sometime. If it doesn't get unblocked, he may not want to chat.

If he blocked you, that's probably a pretty good sign that he's not interested in you, gay or not. I had AIM before and never blocked people unless I just didn't like them or they bugged me too much.

I would ask him why he has blocked you. It may be accidental, I know because it happened to me. If you know 100% that he is gay, than yea by all means tell him, but why not ask him why you are blocked.

Are you constantly AIM him all day? Just because you are both gay doesn't mean he is automatically attracted to you?
Everyone has preferances and standards, maybe you are just coming on way to strong!

I used to block people when I was Busy and they wouldn't leave me alone. Perhaps the block is a HINT.

You can tell him, but you have to understand that just because you're both gay doesn't mean he wants to be any more than casual acquaintances with you. I know it's rough when the field is so small, but that's the reality.
