What type of Question is this? Umm, I don't mean to offend any free roaming in the car dog travelers. Like there should be a law saying they have to be in crates? I love dogs! To each their own. I had just answered a "I saw" fill in the blank type of Q & came up with my own. Other people's stories are sometimes interesting. No dissing or trying to gain up on a type of people or pet!

I saw the funniest thing one summer. I was putting gas in the car and I turned to see the cars at the stoplight and a girl had one of those Big English Sheepdogs hanging out the window with big sunglasses on!! They had to be made for dogs too!!
I will never forget how cool they looked!! Thanks for the memory!!

My Uncle John has a great Dane (think Marmaduke) he is old, and real thin, so he doesnt move alot and pretty much does whatever he is told. I was with my Uncle when I was about 16 and we were driving back form the Oceanside pier, we had been fishing. I guess my Uncles taillight was out, so we got pulled over. He put the king (The dogs name is Elvis but we call him the king) In the drivers seat with a hat and his glasses and put his paws on the steering wheel. The cop walked up, looked in the window, seemed kinda shocked, and then started cracking up. He thought it was so funny he just let us go, and it's a good thing, because my Uncle had downed the better part of a 24 case of coors light while we were fishing. So in answer to your question, I have seen a large dog get a small drunk mexican man out of a DUI ticket....

My shih tzu just sleeps in the car. I like the way the big dogs sit up and it looks like a person in the passenger seat. My husband always makes a remark, " Gee, that man sure has an ugly wife!" lol!

Puke. It was a medium sized pit bull.
Eat McDonalds hamburgers. It was a large, fat black German Shepherd named Daisy (my old dog)
Climb over the driver and stick it's head out the driver's window while the car was going at least 60mph on the highway. It was a medium/large Lab mix. It didn't look very safe.

Your question made me realize that some dogs have it good, they get driven around, they get washed up, they get their teeth brushed, food prepared and served. Wow dogs have it so good any way. I rode in a car with a dog onse, a poodle and she just sat there. We just picked her up from getting pampered, she got her nails done and everything. I gues she was nervous around me the reason if she was so behaved.

Little yippy dogs that start barking like mad when you walk up to your car and open the door. Scares me to death every time.
