The 5 States that I would like to live in:
Georgia, South Carolina, Virginia, Texas, and Tennessee

Reasons: I have either lived in or visited all of these states and find that the cost of living is similar (not to expensive), as well as the political views. From growing up in the South, I'm more familiar with the southern lifestyle.

The 5 States I would NOT want to live in:
California (#1), Washington State, Oregon, Nevada, and New York.

Reasons: Both California & New York are extremely populated. There is a different political environment in these 5 states. Also, the west coast states face significant geologic events not seen in other parts of the country.

Any of the mid southern states; Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina Virginia, and Tennessee, because the weather is more even and they have easy access to the mountains and ocean. California, Texas, Arizona,New Mexico, and Nevada as they are too hot and have to many illigals. California would be my least favorite, due to the people being too liberal and the possibility of a major disaster.

I would not want to live in California because of the excessive taxation, including things like vehicle registration costs. It has beautiful scenery though...I like visiting there.

Alaska would be too cold for my tastes. Florida is far too humid. Hawaii is very pretty but too remote and expensive.

I think the only states I would consider living in are my native Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Oregon, or Montana. All have great scenery and Montana, in my experience, has some of the friendliest people. Colorado would also be tolerable.

Already responded so i will take the bonus. i'm the MS guy who mentioned the Cardinals. they're the main time-honored group up right here interior the northwestern area of the state (the Memphis metro section). yet statewide the Braves, and probable the Astros, are greater time-honored. we've different inaccurate people in this state. i'm stunned there are greater crimson Sox followers properly far flung from Boston than the different group has followers some distance far flung from their homestead city. additionally, 12 followers in enormous apple, yet no Mets votes yet? it fairly is notably dazzling.

Would live in: Alabama, Kentucky, upstate New York, Virginia, and far eastern Indiana. (as for the locations in the state I would check out work options, state taxes, and crime rates--both by statics and visiting there for a week or two mingling.
I'm not sure in whiich state I might not want to live--crime rate and "click" areas (where white collar crime is let go and "bullies"
run others.) is somewhere I'd rather not be. (I love California, but it is very costly to live there.)

Live in:
Washington, Idaho: family is there
New Mexico: I like it here, now.
Colorado: beautiful state.
Florida: I don't know -- been there once, it was fun.

Not want to live in:
California: too liberal, too many taxes, too many illegal aliens
Nevada: been there, done that, too crowded (in the metro areas), too uncrowded elsewhere.
New York or Massachusetts: waaaayyyyy too liberal. Even upstate NY doesn't appeal.
Pretty much any other NewEngland state -- take your pick. They're generally all a bunch of liberals up there.
