it actually burns up to 500 calories a day. so that on top of a healthy diet and some form of exercise you could be back to your old self in no time!!!

Well it burns calories and like a previous poster has said, if you eat well and take a little exercise (for me, walking with bubs in sling or pram) then you will drop some of that pregnancy weight :) Saying that, I have what I like to call a "breastfeeding mothers appetite" and I crave something sweet in the afternoon, so I have not lost what I would have liked to by now :) (8 months later!!). YES, YES, YES I lst 25 lbs in a week, then another 15 by 8 weeks. I stopped breastfeeding and stopped losing weight.

Bfding takes up to 1200 calories a day.

Yes. Makes you loose anywhere from 500 to 800 calories depending on how much are burning to make milk.

I lost so far 35 lbs just by breastfeeding. no exercise, no diet. infact i was eating all i wanted.

I have always heard breastfeeding takes about 300 calories per day. (give or take some depending on how much you breastfeed) So... depending on how many calories you take in then I guess it would be possible.

yes it does loads, so keep at it , if you can . i lost loads with my second child breatfeeding, and was back to my normal weight realy quick. so good luck. xx
